O-Bite (2x50ml) - DMG
Product tabs
Description
Thanks to its uniform curing structure, O-Bite offers excellent fracture resistance and outstanding final hardness. It can be cut and shaped with an O-Bite knife or a silicone bur. Its numerous superior properties, along with a fruity orange scent, make it convincing even to experts. In an independent evaluation by the Reality testing institute, O-Bite received 4 stars and achieved first place in user ratings, surpassing all other tested bite registration materials.
Product Advantages
With a Shore A hardness of 94, O-Bite is the hardest among all VPS-based bite registration materials. Its high final hardness is especially important when transferring bite registrations on models or articulators, ensuring perfectly fitting restorations. Softer silicones tend to bend or compress, which hinders precise articulation. This can cause undesired bite elevations that require time-consuming adjustments. Direct placement of a high restoration can also cause significant discomfort in the temporomandibular joint. With its exceptional hardness, O-Bite provides gnathologically ideal occlusion.
Thanks to the vinyl silicone matrix developed by DMG, O-Bite exhibits outstanding fracture resistance. The VPS material’s bonding structure consists of silicone chains of equal length, providing a particularly stable network during curing. This property ensures high fracture resistance during removal from the model, cutting, and repositioning.
